Bluehost Sucks was created after we had a particularly unpleasant experience with Bluehost’s hosting services.  We did a little searching around, and found out that we weren’t the only ones who had had huge problems with Bluehost’s website hosting.  We heard the cries of “Bluehost sucks” from every corner of the Internet, and decided to create this page in order to give people a centralized location to share their Bluehost horror stories.

Common problems include MySQL database problems, website downtime, terrible customer service, and even being kicked off of their servers with no warning or reason.  As you can imagine, for any website that pulls a respectable amount of visitors, having your website down while you backup your sites, search for a new host, upload your files and get all of the kinks worked out can cost you a lot of money.

Due to Bluehost’s massive over-selling of server space, it appears that they’ve been kicking people off of their servers for the slightest of infractions, without warning and without any possibility to fix the situation.

Did we always think that “Bluehost sucks”?  No.  They were once a respectable hosting company with great prices and customer service, but it appears they’ve grown a little too big for their britches.
